Tonight just felt like I should post a photo of an orchid.
Hope you agree.
Todays post comes to you from Rehoboth Cemetery. I found this cemetery while out for a ride and stopped by to see what was there. What I found was these really old graves sites and some amazing photo opportunities. This one was shot using a fisheye lens and my converted D100 Nikon for the infrared.
On a side note, I can’t wait to get out with the IR camera again.
Tonights post is a couple of photos from a Steam and Gas Engine show that I attend every Year. The show is called the National Pike Steam, Gas, and Horse Association and they put on one of the largest working show in the United States. You can actually watch these neat old pieces of equipment running and moving dirt.
Where I live, I am lucky enough to have an amazing park just a few miles away. The name of the park is Ohiopyle State Park. If you have ever been there you will agree that it is a beautiful place. There are several waterfalls, bike trails, hiking trails, and places to relax and enjoy the weather. Todays photo is of the main falls, which at one time had a mill built on it where the local farmers could get their grain ground.
So if you have been following my blog you may have noticed that I like to do things a little different. Odd angles, fisheye lens, slow shutter speeds and use of light for effect. Tonights post follows along in the same fashion. If you haven’t noticed, I like.. no wait.. love, spending time in the city. To me the city has so much to offer and I can’t seem to stop finding new things to photograph. Those that live and work in the city may find things mundane and uninteresting. But sometimes just by slowing down and sitting on the corner you may find something interesting to watch. That is exactly how this group of photos came into existence. I do have to admit that the idea was given to me by a friend, but I think I put my own twist on the subject. By the way, if you do this you may get a few strange looks and concerning questions but hey that’s half the fun.
Hope you enjoy the mystery of the Disappearing Foot.
