Tonight post is a single image of a group of boats that I found just sitting there waiting to be taken out for a ride. I often look for patterns or repeating shapes to photograph. This image has a repeating pattern that takes you into the photo. I chose to present this image in black and white as I felt that color was distracting to the overall mood of the photo.
For todays post I thought I would explore some of my older photos post some black and white conversions. I’ve always been fascinated with black and white photography and have found that the absence of color makes me look deeper into the image. Without color we have a tendency to see the detail that was always there and that, I think, is what makes black and white so fascinating.
