Anyone want to sit awhile and rest?
Project 365 | Day 36 Driving Safety
My ride home from work today was a bit nerve-racking as most of the drive was on a sheet of ice. And it never seizes to amaze me as to how people drive in such bad conditions. I was passes by cars probably driving as fast as they normally would on a hot summer day. It’s amazing how stupid people are.
People SLOW down, think about what you’re doing and make decisions that won’t end up with you hurting or killing yourself or someone else.
Project 365 | Day 35 Safety
The question today is: Do you feel safe? Most of the time you probably don’t think about it as you go through your day. But really how safe are we? As I was walking to my car this evening in the parking garage I noticed a box for a fire extinguisher which was sitting on the ground empty. As I looked around for another one, to no avail, I thought wow what if there was a fire? I guess what I’m trying to say is pay attention to your surroundings, look for things that you might need in an emergency and know where they are.
Project 365 | Day 34 Choices
Choices, we make them everyday: what to wear, what to eat, when to sleep, what to watch. Tonight I stopped in Sheetz (a convenience store in our area) and as I stood in front of the drink cooler trying to choose what to drink, I thought to my self how much time do I waste doing this everyday? Wouldn’t it be easier if there were simply fewer choices? After making a decision on a bottle of water and some raspberry iced tea I turned around and before me was more choices, candy, chips, fruit, pastries, well you get the idea. More time wasted. So I continued on with my journey home and had to stop at the local movie store to return a DVD. Again wasted time looking for something to watch.. Well my brain is fried, I’m tired and ready to hit the sack, so for tonight: Good night! Now where did I put the remote?
Oh the Choices!
Project 365 | Day 33 Hopeful for Spring
Yesterday the weather here was almost 60ºF. So I was really hoping for a nice day today, my day off. Yea right, as usual it rained the biggest part of the day which made me not want to venture out much. Oh and by the way, it’s snowing again now. This weather has really got me thinking about spring and the nicer days ahead. So I’m posting tonight’s photo and asking the question:
Any one up for a Picnic?
Project 365 | Day 32 Chained Up
If you have been following you know that I have been sick with the flu for just about a week now. And after four days of being stuck in the house I was beginning to get a little sick of being sick. So finally today we had nice weather and I was able to get out for a few minutes while running an errand for work. I always have a camera with me, today I had my trusty Coolpix S6300 in my pocket. When I noticed this very large chain near one of the buildings in Pittsburgh, I thought to myself that really represents the way I was feeling while I was “chained up” in the house by the flu, I absolutely had to take a photo.
Project 365 | Day 31 Stop Throwing That Ball
So today I was finally able to get out of the house and go back to work. If I only could have enjoyed those days off rather than lay around feeling like I was hit buy a bus. But as a good friend says “It is what it is”. Although I was able to get out I didn’t want to spend too much time in this wonderful weather we have so I’m going to post a photo from a trip in the fall into Oakland, which is an area in Pittsburgh, and also the home of Pitt University.
As we were wandering around the area I happened upon this sign painted on a building and just thought it was in an odd place. This was on a small side street and there was hardly room to drive down the street, let alone play ball.
