Fireworks on the River

Tonight’s post keeps with the theme of dreaming of warmer weather. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to photograph fireworks. And in the Pittsburgh area we love our fireworks, so there are plenty of opportunities to shoot them.

how did you shoot these! Probably some of the best firework photos ive seen!

  These were all shot with a Nikon D300 and a Sigma 24-60 f2.8 lens. I shot them at f18 and around 2 second exposures using a tripod of course. This isn’t always the settings but it will get you close to where you need to be to get good fireworks photos. Then it’s just a matter of taking the photos and enjoying the fireworks.
