I had to go back in the archives today to get a shot that I was thinking about today. I was thinking how different shots will cause you to feel a different way. I needed something bright and colorful today and this shot is one of my favorites. I took this photo a couple of years back on a trip to Washington D.C.

365 – 103 Time Spent Waiting
We wait everyday for something. We wait for the bus, we wait in traffic, we wait in line for lunch. Yet people don’t seem to interact with the people they are waiting with unless they are there together. Why is it that we have gotten away from just meeting people, saying “Hi, How are you?”.
Do you ever just strike up a conversation with someone while standing in line?

Photography, as we all know, is not real at all. It is an illusion of reality with which we create our own private world. – Arnold Newman
365 – 100 Mannequin Down
Tonight as I left work I headed up the street passed Macy’s Department Store. As i normally do, I was looking at the window displays and came across this one. I fairly certain that the mannequin in this photo was standing up yesterday as I walked by. Kinda made me thing of the movie from a few years back called “Mannequin”.

365 – 99 Things that Make You Go… What??
You know that look your dog gives you when he is a little confused? You know the one I mean, Ears up, head tilted to the side and a very perplexed look on his face. Well for the past couple of months I’ve had that same look from time to time while on my walks in Pittsburgh. Before I tell you what it was that made me tilt my head and say “What??” I have to let you know that I’m usually not easel confused and I can typically figure something out quickly on my own. But this item really had me confused.
I’ve seen a glimpse of it from time to time over the last few months, at first I thought I was seeing things than once I got a really good look at it the confusion took over, and of course that tilted head and perplexed look on my face. Being a photographer I, of course, decided that I had to get a photo of this elusive item just for some peace of mind and proof that I wasn’t seeing things. Well that was back in February and it has taken me until tonight to get a shot of one of the many cars with this large pink mustache on the front.
After getting the shot and a quick search on google I was able to determine the origins of the Pink Mustache, apparently they are an identifier for a donation based transportation company. You can use an app on your smart phone where you request your ride and give your donation with your credit card. Then you simply wait for your ride. If you would like to find out a little more about the pink mustache cars you can check out an article on I Heart Pittsburgh.
I would like to gear some of your stories about that thing that just makes you go “WHAT??”
